"Odyssey of the Mind" is first and foremost fun. When else do you have the opportunity to work on a project with your friends on your own over a longer period of time, without teachers, parents or other people telling you what to do? The program is not designed for only "gifted" or "normal" students - everybody can join the fun. You will figure out what hidden talents you and your friends have. You will be able to try a lot of new things and also have some disappointments on your way. But these will bring you even closer together and let you grow to be a true team. And along the way, you will learn a lot of things you can use in your life later, and you will have unforgettable experiences.

Students participate in "Odyssey of the Mind" in their school or other educational institution or a youth club. A team consists of five to seven students and a coach, who is usually a parent, a teacher or former participant. However, the coach may not help to solve the problems. He or she is helps with organisational matters and motivates the team. You should have at least one interested teacher in your school that serves as a contact person for Germany International.
