Each year since 2004, we honor the “Coach of the Year” at the Germany Finals. Many coaches within “Odyssey of the Mind” in Germany do a terrific job and donate countless hours for the teams. On behalf of all of them, we honor one coach that has shown extraordinary spirit for many years.

Coach of the Year 2010 is Erdmute Koplin from Frankfurt International School. She has been involved for many years, coached a large number of teams and brought some of them to World Finals. Besides her work with the teams, she coordinates the program within the whole school. As a high school teacher, she succeeded to get the elementary school branch into “Odyssey of the Mind” as well. Since then, FIS is always among the schools registering many teams for the competition. She organizes Odyssey events at her school, which is not trivial because the FIS teams cannot attend events like the “Spontaneous Day” in Berlin/Brandenburg because of the large distance. Her spirit and her smile are contagious! Congratulations!
